Dementia Care
At Terra Vista, we understand that caring for someone with dementia is a careful balancing act. It is vital to alleviate the stress that comes when a family member with dementia encounters closed doors or blocked pathways, which is why our community offers a barrier-free, open-concept design. We understand that it’s also crucial to keep them safe and secure within their living environment.
Your loved one’s studio apartment is designed to make it easier for them to freely move around and maintain an optimum level of independence. Each apartment comes unfurnished and can be customized with familiar furnishings, artwork, photos, decorations, and other mementos to set them at ease and feel more at home. Some apartments are also designed to accommodate companion living.

Our community has separated itself from others in the industry by solely focusing on providing services to those with dementia. Unlike other facilities that set aside a small section for those with dementia, Terra Vista is designed to exclusively care for those living with a dementia diagnosis.
More ways we help dementia patients:
Our Dementia-Capable Environment balances all needs through a barrier-free building design that gives your loved one the freedom to explore the premises or take leisurely strolls during the day. This allows them to achieve an optimum level of functional independence while remaining safe.
Our multisensory way-finding markers located throughout our campus use themes, colors, and textures, allowing residents to more easily identify where they are and explore for longer periods of time, even in the later stages of Alzheimer’s.
Our InnerWalk™ is the largest multisensory purpose-driven interior courtyard in the region. It is designed to enhance sensory stimulation, promote tranquility, and delight residents and family members with a fun atmosphere for meaningful visits.
By specializing in caring for dementia patients, we have set ourselves apart from the crowd as experts who are prepared to assist your loved ones in whatever ways they need.
